Tracey Ray, 20, of Hamden was charged with illegal use of a credit card, credit card theft, sixth-degree larceny and misapplication of another's property. He was arrested Monday and his bond was set at $5,000. He is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 10.

Westport Police said the theft occurred from a vehicle parked on Crescent Road and that several credit cards were stolen. These were later used to charge $500 in items in Milford, police said.

Officers reviewed video of the purchases, were able to identify Ray as the suspect and obtained an arrest warrant, police said.

He was arrested on Monday after he had been detained by New Haven Police.
